Lore & Background
Marasi is introduced as a university student studying law, with a noted passion for statistics. She is the illegitimate daughter of Lord Jackstom Harms, making her the half-sister of Steris Harms. Her admiration for Wax and Wayne's exploits in the Roughs leads her to accompany them during their investigation of the Vanishers. Her Allomantic ability allows her to create speed bubbles that slow time inside the bubble while time flows normally outside—a power she is mostly embarrassed by, considering it useless. During the final confrontation at the Vanishers' hideout, Marasi uses this ability to slow time inside a speed bubble, distracting Miles Dagouter long enough for Wayne to fetch law officers to subdue and capture him. After the battle, Marasi is approached by Ironeyes (Marsh), now revered as Death himself, and is given a mysterious book.
In Their Own Story
At a wedding party held by House Tekiel, the Vanishers attack, attempting to kidnap Steris and Marasi. Wax and Wayne manage to save Marasi, though Steris is taken. Later, Marasi accompanies Wax and Wayne to the bandits' hideout, finding it deserted. She helps form a plan to capture the bandits during their next robbery, which involves a train transporting large amounts of aluminium. At the new hideout, after a long battle, Marasi uses her Allomantic ability to slow time inside a speed bubble, distracting Miles long enough for Wayne to bring law officers to subdue him. Although Wax feels attraction to Marasi, he decides to continue with his planned marriage to Steris. After the events, Marasi is approached by Ironeyes (Marsh), who gives her a mysterious book.
Reader's Guide
