Marsh is first mentioned as Kelsier's brother, who notifies Kelsier that Vin is a Mistborn. This leads to Vin being recruited by Kelsier's crew. Later in the story, Marsh is discovered and seemingly killed by the Canton of Inquisition. However, he is later revealed to be alive, having been transformed into a Steel Inquisitor—a seemingly indestructible Allomancer with steel spikes driven through their eyes. In the final confrontation, Marsh betrays his fellow Inquisitors and slays them before being overpowered by the Lord Ruler himself.
